Manta Network The Manta Network is expanding its Manta birostris population studies by developing a routine local data collection program with the assistance of dive and resort operators around the world. Activities will identify and track manta ray conservation and protection issues worldwide. Collecting manta information on a worldwide-basis will permit identification of strategically important areas. These areas will become the target of routine manta population monitoring. Five sponsor levels are available:
  • Platinum Sponsor: This level provides funds for specific research agendas. It is intended for corporate sponsors that provide grants for specific research programs. Donation Range: $10,000 and above

  • Gold Sponsor: Sponsors provide manta ray funding or by hosting field research teams. Hosting programs consist of onsite support for research, including photo-idenfitication, tagging and other activities. Hosting includes two or more double-occupancy rooms to be used over a two-year period. Sponsors are also expected to routinely contribute to the manta database with sighting logs, photos, video and/or drawings of mantas. Participatation in the Manta Ecotours Program is encouraged. Donation Range: $5,000-$10,000
  • Silver Sponsor: Sponsors routinely contribute to the manta database in exchange for on-line recognition. This includes sighting logs, photos, video and/or drawings of mantas. Donation range: $250-$5,000 or equivalent.

  • Associate Sponsor: Associate sponsorships are intended contributors who are individual divers and photographer. Donation range: $100-$250 or equivalent.

  • Student Sponsor: Work/study individual contributions, including attending manta expeditions or significant volunteer work.

  • Paid Advertisements: Paid online ads are also available. Please contact Robert Aston for information and pricing.
